If your work is won on a PQQ, a framework or a tender, we build for it.
We only work with construction subcontractors. That means the pages we build already know what a QS checks before an invitation to tender, why Constructionline Gold matters more than a logo, what a capability statement is for, and how a package is scored on quality as well as price. Here is how that changes the site for each kind of firm.

Groundworks and civil engineering contractors
Your buyers are main contractors, developers, housing associations and local authorities. They check your SSIP accreditation and Constructionline level, look for ISO certificates and your accident frequency rate, and want proof you have delivered their kind of package at their kind of value. Your site needs an accreditations page that passes that check in a minute, sector pages that speak their language and case studies with client, value band, programme and scope. Regional pages matter too: a developer assembling a supply chain searches by trade and region.
- Accreditations Google and AI tools can verify
- Sector pages for housing, education, infrastructure and commercial
- Case studies that read like a PQQ response
- Groundworks, drainage, RC frames and external works on separate pages
Structural steel and fabrication contractors
Steel is specified early and bought on evidence. Engineers, main contractors and developers compare execution class, welder qualifications and design capability before they ask for a price, and most fabricators’ websites are the thinnest in the sector: a gallery, a phone number and a logo for EN 1090. Yours should set out execution class and CE or UKCA marking clearly, name the engineers and welding coordinator, show frames and mezzanines by sector and value, and give a drawing route a QS can use.
- EN 1090 execution class and CE or UKCA marking written out
- Design capability, connections and named engineers clearly shown
- Frames, mezzanines and erection on their own pages
- A drawing and tender route built for engineers and QSs
Mechanical and electrical contractors
M&E packages are won from main contractors, consultants and facilities teams who compare accreditations, design capability and sector track record before issuing an enquiry. Since the Building Safety Act, those clients also ask who signs off the design and how competence is evidenced. Your site should show NICEIC, Gas Safe, F-Gas and SSIP accreditations clearly, set out design and commissioning capability in plain English, show healthcare, education and commercial projects with values, and make it easy to send a tender pack.
- NICEIC, Gas Safe, F-Gas and SSIP accreditations clearly shown
- A plain-English design and commissioning capability page
- Sector projects with values, programmes and named engineers
- A page for each discipline: mechanical, electrical, public health and controls
Demolition, enabling works and scaffolding
Main contractors and developers want one firm for soft strip, demolition, enabling works and access, and they find it under programme pressure. Your site should give each service its own page, show your NFDC, NASC or CISRS membership and SSIP accreditation clearly, prove your recycling and carbon performance and present real projects with tonnages, programmes and the main contractor served.
- A page for every service, from soft strip to site clearance to access
- NFDC, NASC, CISRS and SSIP details clearly shown
- Recycling rates, pre-demolition audits and TG20 compliance evidence
- Projects with scope, tonnage, programme and main contractor
Roofing, cladding and envelope contractors
Envelope packages are bought by main contractors, developers and facilities managers who need to know you can design, warrant and deliver at their value. Since the fire safety reforms they also need your fire performance and system approvals in writing. Your site needs system pages with manufacturer approvals and warranties, sector pages for industrial, commercial and residential, case studies with area, system and programme, and a tender route that accepts drawings.
- System pages with manufacturer approvals and warranties
- Fire performance and competence evidence written out
- Projects by sector with area, system and programme
- Tap-to-call and a tender route that accepts drawings
Fit-out, finishes and specialist contractors
Your specialist package is buried three clicks deep under a general contracting homepage. Buyers looking for a dry lining, ceilings, flooring, joinery or passive fire contractor never find it, and AI tools cannot tell you do it at all. The division needs its own section with its own accreditations, its own case studies and its own tender contact, inside the group site or on its own domain.
- A standalone section for each specialist trade
- Trade accreditations separated from group ones: FIS, ASFP, BM TRADA and the rest
- Case studies filed by trade and sector
- Separate tracking so the division can prove its tender enquiries
A page for every trade we build for.
Each one sets out what buyers in that trade check, which accreditations need to be written out, how case studies should be filed and the questions directors in that trade ask us.

A short list, so nobody wastes a call.
- Lead-generation platforms and directories that sell enquiries to subcontractors. We build for the subcontractors they sell to.
- Firms without the SSIP accreditation, insurance or competence their work requires. Your website is only as credible as the paperwork behind it.
- Anyone who wants a guaranteed ranking by a date. We will show you the work and the numbers, but Google and the AI tools decide the rest.
Everyone else in the construction supply chain, from a ten-person specialist to a multi-depot regional subcontractor, is who we are here for.
Questions about who we work with
We do a bit of everything. Which one are we?
Most subcontractors do. We build around the work you want more of, not the work you happen to do. If groundworks is the core but you also do RC frames and external works, the site carries all three, with the accreditations page for buyers and a trade page for each so a QS can find the one they are pricing.
We are a ten-person firm working for two main contractors. Is this worth it?
Often more than for a big firm, because your competitors’ sites are thin and your two main contractors will not always have work. A clear site with accreditations and case studies a buyer can verify is what gets you on a third contractor’s supply chain, and it is what their procurement team sees when they score the subcontractors on a bid.
Do you work with subcontractors outside England?
Yes. Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland have the same SSIP schemes, the same Constructionline registers and the same main contractors checking the same things. The only differences are local: the public sector frameworks and the regional contractors.
Will you work with two competing subcontractors in the same region?
Every website is designed from scratch, so no two firms in the same region ever look alike. If you want exclusivity in your trade and patch, say so when we first talk and we will tell you honestly whether we already work there.
